Ramadan Continues as The NSCIA declared Thursday as Shawwal 1st.

Since the Saudi Arabia announced the unseen crescent moon to end Ramadan fasting, some people most especially Nigerians were confused and waiting for the Saltan of Sokoto to confirm it.

Now,  the Nigeria Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA) under the leadership of General, CRF, and the Saltan of Sokoto, his eminence Alhaji Muhammad Sa'ad Abubakar has finally confirmed it and announced that the Eid-il-Fitri festival will surely commence on Thursday 13th of May 2021.

The NSCIA which made the declaration in a statement in Abuja said, since the crescent has not been sighted to end this year Ramadan fast, the NSCIA wishes to inform the public and the Nigerian Muslim Unman that there was no proven report of sighting the crescent moon of Shawwal 1442 AH on Tuesday 11th of May which is the 29th of Ramadan 1442 AH, Ramadan fasting will continue on Wednesday 12th May 2021 that will make 30th days of Ramadan.

Therefore, Thursday 13th 2021 is automatically declared as 1st of Shawwal and the day of Eid-il-Fitri.

May Almighty Allah accept it from us as act of the Ibadah.   Aaminnn.
