The case of this woman which happened far back 2015 was a one that raises a lot reactions in the social media now.
The Lagos State Police command based on intelligence intercepted a robbery gang along Lagos to Ibadan express way, the notorious armed robbery gang went into a serious gun duel with the police operatives and killed so many police by then.
If not for the help of a support team that was sent by the state commissioner of police to support the team the robbers would have then killed all the police.
Reports had it then that the notorious armed robbers were well fortified in such a way no bullet can penetrate their body.
They were finally arrested by men of the special anti robbery squad by then and were taken to the police headquarters since then.
The most surprising thing about it was that, the robbery gang was leaded by a woman who was not even from Nigeria but from India.
The commissioner of police who paraded the suspects at the state police headquarters ordered that the suspect be transfered to their special intelligence and investigation unit for adequate investigations.
After series of interrogations the gang leader who was an Indian who confessed and accepted the crime, telling the police that she brought in serious and terrible charms from India which helped them in all their robbery operations.
It was really sad to see a woman come all the way from another country to make our own country (Nigeria) unbearable.
According to the police commissioner this particular robbery gang has been on the neck of the police for a very long time and the police boss was so happy that they were finally arrested.
So many exhibits were recovered from them at the point of their arrest including charms and so much cash from them.
The woman is currently at the Lagos State kirikiri prison awaiting trial.
But to my own view, These kind of criminals were not supposed to be kept for a long time, but our Nigerian system is not encouraging.
Also, they like to be using the language "suspect" for a criminal who caught red handed and also confess to be guilty of the action. To me, I hate the language "suspect".
What can you say to the matter.
