Nigerian Senate President, Ahmad Ibrahim Lawan, allegedly got married to a new wife at a very private ceremony in Borno State. SaharaReporters reports that the Senate President's new bride is Zainab Algoni Abdulwahid, a young Shuwa Arab girl. According to the report, the low-key marriage was solemnised at the Sheikh Sharif Ibrahim Saleh's mosque in Maiduguri on Friday June 25. The event was reportedly performed secretly to avoid public criticism while Zainab is expected to relocate to Abuja on Sunday. A mini party was also held at the bride's family residence in Gwange 1 Ward, Malut Shuwa Street, Maiduguri. Mele Kyari, the Group Managing Director of Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), says A litre of petrol should be at least #256 as at now on.  Mr Kyari disclosed this at a stakeholders meeting organised by the NNPC to stop fuel smuggling. Commenting on the current PMS and subsidy payment, Mr Kyari noted that the petrol pump price should be N256 per litre as a result of given the current exchange rate. In his words: “If we are to sell at the market today at the current exchange rate, we will be selling the product at about N256 per litre. What we sell today is N162, so the difference is at a cost to the nation,’’ According to him, the country cannot sustain subsidy payment with the high volume of daily consumption, pointing out that, every month the country coughs up N150 billion on subsidy.   Oyo State Governor, ‘Seyi Makinde, on Tuesday, declared that he would do everything within his powers to safeguard the lives of residents of the state, noting that the government would do everything possible to prevent a recurrence of violent attacks on Igangan and other communities in the state.    People in the community of Igangan at Ibarapa area were happily welcoming Chief Sunday Adeyemo Igboho Oosha, as he entered their community to rescue them from Fulani herdsmen.  Remember, it was  reported that suspected Fulani herdsmen invaded Igangan in Ibarapa at the midnight and attacked residents of the community including the palace on Saturday night. Meanwhile, the sad incident recorded a lot of casualties but the Oyo State police commander confirmed the death of eleven people.   Some vehicles and buildings including the palace of the ruler of Igangan town were burnt also. Members of the IPOB has announced that they do not import their weapon or buy it from anyone. The group claimed that the weapon used by members of the group are locally produced by the members of the group. This statement was made by the spokesman of the IPOB, Emma Powerful. According to him, he said the IPOB are not saving their arms anywhere. He said there is no store for their weapons but their weapons are locally made in the country. Recall that the federal government has recently accused the IPOB of piling weapons and bombs which they plan to use against the country. However, less than 24 hours after the statement was made by the Buhari administration, the spokesman of the IPOB reacted to the news.
